HOW FAST CAN I GO?

22+ miles per hour unassisted. Faster if you pedal!

HOW FAR CAN I GO ON A SINGLE BATTERY CHARGE?

20 to 60 miles. This number fluctuates based on your level of assist, terrain, rider weight, weather, speed, and most importantly how much you pedal. Cargo bikes will go 20 to 45 miles.

WILL IT TAKE ME UP A HILL?

CAN I CHARGE THE BATTERY BY PEDALING?

Our technology charges the battery by plugging the bike into the wall. The more you pedal, the farther you can go. Your pedaling conserves the battery, but it doesn’t actually charge it.

HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST?

You can expect your battery to last about 3–4 years or 1000+ charge cycles. Lithium batteries usually don’t just stop working altogether; they gradually lose their capacity over time. They’ll continue to work beyond the 1000 charge cycles, but at a reduced capacity.

HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY TAKE TO CHARGE?

From empty to a full charge will take approximately 4 hours. It costs around a dime ($.10) in electricity for a full charge!

MAINTENANCE?

Standard bike maintenance: If you keep air in the tires and the drivetrain lubed, EDISON will take you thousands and thousands of happy miles!

The only extra component of care is to treat the battery like a laptop or cell phone battery. Don’t always leave it on the charger, and don’t let it sit completely drained either. Charge it at least once a month if you’re not using it.

WHAT ARE THE SIZE OPTIONS AND WEIGHT CAPACITY?

EDISON frames are rated to carry up to 300 lbs. We have riders that vary from 5'0" to 6'6" tall.

DOES THE EDISON BIKE COME WITH A FRONT HEADLIGHT?

It is not included with the v2 bikes, but it is an accessory that you can add on at the shop. Sorry about the photos 🙂
